Hi all, Due to things out of my control i will find myself without housing in the near future - Owner is selling... I'm unemployed STILL in Fresno, CA the Job market is really bad here across the spectrum. I'm really wanting to move to Oregon, I lived in Medford a few years ago but came back to Fresno after my divorce... I really miss Oregon a lot, but i don't have very much of money for rent. My question is, is there handyman-maintenance work available and would anyone be willing to barter work for housing. I have worked for real estate agents in the past. My other baggage is a dog-husky/Aus.Shepard female that is house trained, but doesn't like other females. The main reasons I hate California is the gangs and politics imploding California. California has become a junk bond state.

Any help will be much appreciated. You can reach me at qualityfirsthome@yahoo.com

You can not like Fresno even if it is gang free. Remember, gangs are groups of opportunity.. they can crop up almost anywhere.

Selling a house in Fresno won't be easy, don't feel pressured to move unless the property owner says you must leave. Do a little research to see if the house is on its way to forclosure, there are some protections there.

Yes, the dog with that behavior will be a an issue.

Working as a handy-person may require a contractor's licence. You should explore that.
