I have just moved to the Beaverton area and I am having a hard time finding a barber that cuts "African American" hair. He/she should be reliable.

Any information would be appreciated, thanks.

Paul Mitchell Salon in Portland may be worth checking out. Lots of great people there specializing in diff areas. My daughter went there and got some great hair extensions fo' cheap(er). Good Luck!

My husband is black and with our past month of research since we got here, simple answer: there are none...none at all, in all of Washington County. you have to go anywhere from downtown east to find something good. Husband goes to Champions. Have also heard PS styles is good (or is styles with a z?)

I have a black co-worker who lives in the Aloha area, and the last time this question came up on this board, I asked him where he gets his hair cut. His reply: "My wife cuts my hair."

I've heard good things about Terrell Brandon's barber shop in North or Northeast Portland.
