Smile Looking for city close to Portland
I'm looking for a city that is about 30 minutes to an hour from Portland. With low crime, and pleasant weather. I'm looking more to the west or south. Can anyone help?

Salem or Keizer is nice to the south 1 hour.
Hood River to the east.

I wouldn't really even consider Portland as "high crime". Maybe a few neighborhoods.

You could basically pick any city in Oregon.

Some people define crime differently.

For example, I consider driving drunk as crime.

Astoria, Oregon's mayor just got caught driving intoxicated for the third time if I recall the article correctly.
