Default Portland area golf

Hi.

So, how is the golf in the Portland area? I assume it is possible to play at this time of year. I did search some rates and it appears to be reasonable for public courses ($28-$40 walking). Do the rates change in the summer months?

Anyone want to comment about playing golf in Portland? Any thoughts or tips is appreciated.

Hi Mark- I am an avid Oregon golfer (a fair weather one but an avid one ;-)...yes there is GREAT golf in Portland and SWW. prices very- some are really inexpensive such as Rose City to more expensive such as Pumpkin Ridge. My favorites are: Camas Meadows, Langdon Farms and The Reserve. All about the $50-65 dollar range and fantastic. The summer golf here is great too because we stay light for so long!
Have a great season

You're joking right? It's like 50 and raining every day in Portland right now, no, you can't golf now. Golf season starts in May or June and even then expect a lot of times where it'll rain out of nowhere. I spent a lot of my childhood golfing often during the summers in Portland, at Pumpkin Ridge where Tiger Woods played early on, and it was a great course and a lot of fun. But it was about May through September and that was that.
