Willsonville hmm...

Didn't really think about it, but that can be be an option. It really depends on if my work area will encompass south or north yamhill....We would def be renting, are there any good upscale apts/condos in wilsonville?

How long does your wife have for school? If it isn't too much longer, the commute will be temporary and there will be an end in sight. I used to take the express bus from Tigard to downtown and it was a long trip. There was always a traffic back up on 99. However if she has to endure this for just a year or so it may not be so bad.

Will she be working when she is finished with her schooling?

-depends on how much will get transfered from her school in Lima... We're hoping to nix 2 years off of the 4 year degree... and she'll want to get an internship/apprenticeship in the pdx area after grad for another year..

How LONG was long?? Because she's used to a different kind of 'commute' -see above posted photo of Lima traffic...

Long was an hour or more. On the Tri-Met schedule it was 45 minutes if I remember correctly. But it seems there was always some sort of traffic dealy to make it into that hour but sometimes it went to an hour and a half. I had been living and working in Tigard where I could walk to work. Then I lost that job and got another downtown. The commute finally got to me so I moved back to a close-in SE neighborhood in Portland.'

I liked living in Tigard but the commute was too unreliable.
