Default Night life in Tigard or Portland?

Im new to these boards and Im oving to Tigard in the next year or so. As you can see by my name Im a dj. Are there any nightclubs for me to play? I know portland is not far either.

I also wanted to know how the job market is in general. I probalby would be working a day job also.

Im 33 swm moving alone from Cali; in case anyone needs to know

My father in law lives in Tigard and from what I saw, its your typical American suburb with all the obligatory strip malls and tract housing. I did not see much in the way of nightlife unless happy hour at Ruby Tuesdays constitutes nightlife. A pleasant enough place, but I would not live there were I single and in my early 30s.

Now Portland itself is a different story. Lots of nightlife there.
