Portland's biggest, and longest running event has already officially started. But luckily, the best events are still coming up!

Yes, I'm talking about ROSE FESTIVAL!

"Cityfair" aka "Waterfront Park" (it's been renamed this year,) starts this Friday, May 27th with a fireworks display in the river. In runs almost every day and continues all the way until June 12th!

The US Navy, the US Coast Guard, the US Army Corp of Engineers, and the Canadian Navy all have a long tradition of sending representatives to our fair city. They're scheduled to arrive on June 8th, and leave on June 12th. Some of the ships have scheduled tours, but lines grow very quickly.

The Starlight Parade is on June 4th and starts at 8:30pm. There is no route map posted yet, but it usually runs along Broadway for a ways. One of our local celebrities, Darcelle XV is the Grand Marshal.

There is another small parade on June 11th, the Grand Floral Parade. It starts at the Memorial Coliseum and ends at Lincoln Highschool. Get out early to claim spots on the parade route. Camping out for the night is a traditional family past time for the parade.

A full list of all Rose Festival Events is on the official calendar.

There are also volunteer opportunities available.
