kgw.com 7-day forecast past few days shows that the heat wave will occur and apparently it will. It will be 95 to 105 degrees in Willamette valley and 100 degrees in Portland. It reached 86 degrees at beach today while some spots at the coast reached the 90s. Looks like we have a hot September (which is usual) but our hottest days will be during the September (how unusual).

I like how today's forecast is "Smokey Haze," from the forest fires in Warm Springs.

I was wondering where the haze was coming form. It looks ugly, but it smells *really* nice out in Wilsonville.

Say it isn't so! I'm heading "home" to Portland on Friday (the 9th) to visit my son. I was hoping to enjoy some beautiful fall Portland weather. :-(

According to the weather forcast I have seen on TV it will still be very hot but hopefully the smoke will have cleared.

Since I'm not used to hot weather w/o A/C, we broke down and bought a portable a/c unit for our master bedroom. I plan to live there for the next week (when not working), especially since I cannot go outside right now w/o my eyes watering/throat burning after ten minutes due to the smoke.
