Do you actually think this debate is about "stockings"?

In reality, this debate is about a lot more than just "stockings". It is about the types of people living in Portland, and the lifestyles they choose to lead. Anybody considering a move to Portland may find it beneficial to get a glimpse of how (some) Portlanders think, and to what viewpoints and beliefs they subscribe.

I apologize if you and others see no benefit in that.

Thanks for stopping by to make your very valuable and predictable contribution. I was wondering how long it would be before you showed up again to make another condescending remark.

In Oregon that's called an "HR Violation" and can get you removed from your job for "creating a hostile workplace."

I'll just sit in my cubicle and wonder what the wife is cooking for dinner instead. It's safer.

Ok now this thread is just getting weird....how does this in ANY way relate to Portland neighborhoods, nightlife, weather, etc?

Yeah, it's getting kinda perverse around here. Basically there is a dude in New York who is fantasizing about the few non-"feminazis" in Portland who wear silk stockings and Frederick's of Hollywood underneath their raincoats and galoshes. And don't forget the pearl necklaces and velvet ribbons! Whatever floats your boat!

So, are you telling me that in Oregon it is an "HR Violation" if a woman tells her boyfriend that its a turn on for her to know that he is thinking about what she is wearing underneath her prim and proper clothing? Could you cite the law section for that, because I would be very interested in seeing that for myself? If this is true, then I guess Oregon is not a very tolerant state, and this would be useful information for the OP to know.

So you read the posts in this thread, including post #22, and you cannot figure out how any of this discussion could in ANY way relate to Portland, making friends in Portland, enjoying relationships in Portland, or getting along with people in Portland? Wow, I guess there is a dearth of deep thinkers in Portland, which may also be useful information for the OP to be informed about, if they care about such things.
