I haven't been on the forum for a while since I last visited on labor day but I have a question. Here in Phoenix we have alot of Auto Auctions, do they have any such thing in PDX or surrounding areas? I noticed the used cars listed on site such as CL and autotrader want about 10x more than the car is worth. Example a 1998 truck they want 8,000 or 10,000 with over 200,000 miles. Here in phoenix you can buy a 2006-2009 car at the auction for under 6k cash. I really don't want to buy another car and haul it up there when we move because we are already moving one car. Any advise would be appreciated.

Not many auto auctions and I assume you are talking about something like Mecum or Barrett, and you are going to miss huge open air swap meets.

More so like public auto auctions for anyone to attend like dealers, cash buyers, loan companies. For cars that were repossessed or just can't sell. I bought a 2004 Civic for $2,900 before cash and it was the best deal yet. Just wondering if they have those. I googled Auto Auctions in Portland just now and found a bunch. I will have to do some more researching. I just wanted to ask the Professionals here first hahah
