Are you referring to Providence Portland or Providence Milwaukie? (Milwaukie is a burb.) Providence Portland sits on I-84 so houses / apts that are right on top of the hospital will have noise issues and such from a major interstate. BUT just a very few blocks (walking distance) from the hospital sits Laurelhurst, one of the nicest neighborhoods in Portland. So it just depends on which direction from Providence. Lots of old vintage homes, well cared for, expensive, but a WONDERFUL community.

Yes Providence Portland. I just noticed that many apartments said "Right near Portland Hospital" so wonder if there are nice apartments in Laurelhurst.
