I think we need to dispel the idea that Springfield is a suburb of Eugene. They are both towns that happen to be close to each other, that's all. A suburb is a result of the main city. Not the case here.
And yes, many have known this in Oregon for sometime, although it is cool to see it finally as a fact.

The number 15 does pass this corner on the way back to downtown. I will just have to get off and take a look now that I know just where it is.
