Default still loving (beaverton) oregon!

The weather has been so nice! Me and the husband have been fishing every weekend...went to the gorge..hag lake..all over this beautiful place. If you love green and natural beauty...this is the place. We got here in winter and went through the rain. It doesn't bother me a bit. I'm not a fancy girl. If you are you may not like it here as its real hard tokeep ur hair fixed and I wouldn't wear heels to save my life. People always ask if portland is a good fit. If its city life you want I could think of a few nicer cities. But portland is a very pretty city...If you are down to earth...love nature and don't mind getting wet its the place to be. I for one am so happy here I feel like I'm dreaming. Just driving around makes me happy. Sexton..cooper and bull mountain right here. Omg the hood was amazing today! Oregon is the most beautiful place! I look at maps where I come from and its a tight twisted ball of cement and not one square inch of open space. Here I can breath! Even our apartment complex is less crowded! I went back to CA for a graduation and cud not wait to get back here. Flying into portland was amazing...all you see is green. Oregon rules!

You don't see much in the way of open toed lady's shoes around here, but I know women who manage to look pretty hot in sensibly waterproof boots. They don't wear them in the mud, though. They are also really proud of their Uggs. When my wife is dressing fancy, she always has a good pair of heavy sole waterproof boots in the car to change into when necessary. In bad weather she carries a whole foul weather change of clothes.

Glad to hear things are working out for you, MsMurphy.

I fell for Oregon too. I wish i could relocate too. But bear in mind that comparing Oregon, to especially Southern California, is about as valid as the frequent Sacramento vs. Los Angeles threads on CD. One tends to be significantly more urban than the other.
