Default Finding a place in the Portland area.

Hey, great site! I found myself with endless googling day after day, so I thought I'd give this a shot. I'm trying to find some info on the Portland area, but have some specific questions.

#1, I'm in the bay area cali, but I'm an oregon native. My husband and I are looking to relocate, and I'm looking for a townhouse to purchase, and then rent out for one year, before we make The Move. So, what towns are close to technical areas? I currently work in the technical field, and just got my MBA. I figure I may work for a technically inclined company when I do get up there, and would like to avoid a long commute. which brings me to...

#2, What are the bad commute lines/times? Any counter-commute options?

#3, MBA for hire!! - government clearance, weapons research and radiation detection experience. I'd like to work for the city of portland, any thoughts?

thanks!

My friend works for the city of Portland - start applying NOW - it sometimes takes months. PM me if you want more details.

Bad commute times - 7:15AM - 9AM. 3:45PM - 6:15PM. ANYTIME ON 26 during the day. There are ways around the major highways, you just gotta find em.

Of course, if you live on or close to the Max line, you don't have to worry about any of this!
