Hi! Does anyone know of any child-friendly activities/stores/playspaces that are accessible via MAX? Thanks.

There is nothing that comes to my mind that is a reasonable walk from the Beaverton MAX station, even the library is a hike. The Beaverson MAX station is a transit center, not a destination, IMHO.

If the kids like nature, you can walk from the 158th/Merlo MAX station directly into the Tualatin Hills Nature Park. The 222-acre woodland is right next to the station.

OMSI will be on that list soon, once the new line is finished.

Finnegan's Toys is off the 10th and Stark stop.

Thanks - I will check out the nature preserve. I am well aware of Portland's MAX train attractions - I was specifically looking for Beaverton and beyond.

A few things come to mind:

Just to the west of the Beaverton Transit Center stop there is a Learning Palace store with educational toys.

A few (large) blocks north of the Beaverton Central stop is Cedar Hills Crossing--a shopping mall that includes a frozen yogurt store, a large movie theater, and Beaverton's Powell's Bookstore. You can also get to these from the Millikan Way stop, which is the next one west.

Rob Allen already mentioned the Nature Park. Costco isn't too far from that same stop--not a bad place for ultra cheap lunch if you're a member.

Actually, there's quite a bit of commercial stuff at or near the first 3 Beaverton stops, including places to eat. But not very much in the way of parks or attractions for the wee ones.

The only other thing I can think of is whatever event is going on at the Washington County Fairgrounds at the time.
