Default Happy 4th - Fireworks!

PDX Pipeline posted a list of places to go watch Fireworks tonight.

I like to watch the Blues Festival Fireworks from one of the bridges, or from the EastBank Esplanade.

When I was a kid, Oaks Park was the big fireworks display. I remember many a 4th of July, huddled with my sister in in the backseat of the car, wearing our pajamas, parked in John's Landing to watch them.

And then Fort Vancouver was the big one for many years. We used to go out to the airport and would park in the lot to watch the airplanes, until the show started. Then we'd cross Marine Drive and watch from there.

I attempted to watch the Ft. Vancouver display on channel 8 last night. There was no sound at all. Anyone know what happened?
