Thank you for the Orenco Station info! That was one area we were interested in checking out

Thank you for that information , andi Would you mind telling me what the commute is like? What if you prefer to take public transportnation?

On that orenco station site, the place for the real estate info comes up blank for some reason. That doesn't mean that there are no homes left, I hope.

The commute from Hillsboro sucks and on public transport you're looking at at least 30 minutes.

The commute isn't too bad for me. I don't have to be at work until 12:30 pm, and it takes me about 35 mins. to get to NE Portland if I go the speed limit.

That is a longer commute than I thought. I had thought it was about ten minutes. That would be ideal for me. but 35 minutes is a long way. I would rather be closer to or in Portland itself.

No, parts of closer in Beaverton are about 10 min. away. You can also go to TriMet: Public Transportation for the Portland, Oregon, Metro Area and look at the MAX tables. It will give an idea of how far you'd want to be out. Goose Hollow is one of the first Portland stops that the time table shows in the downtown area so you can use that as a reference, though Pioneer Square stop is more in the center of downtown.

Thanks, ott. Are there condos there , do you know? I am getting tired of my car. Thursday someone plowed through a red light and smashed into my little Honda. Maybe I would be better off just not driving at all.

Default condos in Portland

Well, anywhere as close in to the actual city (parts of Beaverton?) as I can get. I would want an over 55 community , that's why. But, NOT
an assisted living kind of place (not yet anyway). I would not qualify for the ones that were mentioned on this site a while ago.

I don't know. There are a lot of condos all over the place, and especially near MAX, but I don't know about over 55 communities...
