We recently moved to Oregon and are looking for an apartment in Beaverton, Lake Oswego or Hillsboro area. I work in Lake Oswego and we narrowed down to the above areas because of good schools. My son is 3 and would go to a pre-school.

The below list sums up what we are looking for-
Safe neighborhood for kids with close access to pre-schools;
Parks nearby will be great
My wife will start looking for a job; so we don't want to go too far off from Portland. So proximity to rail is desired but not deal breaker

We have seen few apartments in Beaverton (Lasalle town home) and read lot of negative reviews on apartment ratings.com for apartments. It is just too scary and we don't want to land in another apartment (like the one we came off of where the management ripped us off)

We found out there are no apartment rental agencies here in Oregon to help us out. Also not many realtors help with rentals.

If you have any recommendations or share experiences that will be very vey helpful.
On the apartment itself-
I don't want anything that has paper thin wills where you can hear everything the neighbour has to say
Decent management who doesn't rip off. Just a decent place for my family to stay.

THANKS!

There definitely are apartment rental agencies. Google that because I know of several though I don't recalls their names. Bristol Equities is one. They might have recommendations for other rental agencies if they don't serve the areas in which you are interested.
