No, I think Portland is wide open for a branch office. Portland has small "abundant life" congregations, but I don't think any of them approach it on the razzle dazzle industrial scale of the Mile Hi-ers.

The Church on SW Second, just off of Barbur used be like this. But it's been over a decade since I've been there, so no clue how it is now.

Larry was probably raised as I was. The large modern churches look like industry to those of use raised in a smaller congregation. I bet the church I was baptized in still doesn't have a flat screen monitor inside the building.

Can you maybe elaborate on what you are looking for in a church? Rather than making us delve into another church's website.
It would be a lot easier for you to tell us what you value.

i'm sorry.

i thought delving into the church's website was the easiest way to get my point across.

something modern, high energy, non-denominational, a mixture of new age and traditional christianity.

i figured if i just listed what i wanted in a church i would get directed to the metropolitan community church, but i don't like that one. it's ugly and depressing.

i'm looking for a church very much like the mile hi church, you either know of one or you don't.

Because most of us have never attended the mile hi church we really can't give you good advice. Were I you I would look at New Hope Community Church newhopepdx.org | New Hope is a church located in Portland, Oregon whose mission is to help people take the next step in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. No matter where you are or what season of life you are in, you are welcome here.

The religious culture in Oregon may not be as energetic as what you are looking for. Culturally we just not that expressive.
