Default We have finally moved to Gresham and yes we like it!

My family and I have finally made the move from Indy to Portland and we are digging it so far. We had read some negative things about Gresham and I gotta say, its just fine. There are some bad parts and there are some good (just like all the other places I have lived). To all of those considering the move... go for it. I also wanted to say that we have been treated very well here and have been told many times, "Welcome to Oregon."

Thank you! We are driving to some big outlet this weekend to visit the Columbia outlet, we need raingear badly. So far, really liking the rain. We moved to an apt off of Hogan and another street..I gotta say, Im completely lost but I guess thats to be expected. Did some driving around but still very confused as to where I am! Went to downtown Portland yesterday for a job interview (loved what I saw), went to Ikea, down Powell almost to Downtown (for husbands job), etc. I think the hardest thing so far is getting used to an apartment again.. but thanks for all the support and Im really impressed with the general attitude of Oregonians .. very nice and laid back.

As a future Portlandener, that is great news. Keep us posted about how you adjust to the new move.

When you are driving, just look for Mt. Hood...most roads will take you out to Gresham if Mt. Hood is your taget (east...not exact..more se ....but kinda)

Remember Burnside...is a good road for travel between your place and downtown.
It is also the divider between North and South...with the river being East and West....

And last but not least...Oregonians are friendly, you can actually ask for directions.
Enjoy your new town.
