We've had 3 consecutive mild summers. I have noted that this year has higher humidity, but they've been very pleasant.

To me, the 90s aren't pleasant, but I know most people will disagree with me!

I just back from four days in Orlando... it is NOT hot or humid here... and I seem to recall seeing on the news about two weeks ago, we just set a record here in Portland for the latest day of the year for the first 90+ degree day, or something like that.

I've been living in Portland almost 3 years now, and I cant believe how much people whine about the weather. It is never boiling like the desert, it is never steamy like the tropics, and we never have to measure snow in feet for weeks at a time.

But keep complaining about the weather... I need a good laugh

People compare Portland weather to Portland weather. To compare Portland weather to weather elsewhere is just silly because here is here and there is there. In comparison to other years, the weather in Portland this year in comparison to weather in Portland in other years has been more humid, but I do not see a lot of whining.

This is a pretty normal summer (thank God!). The last two were unusually cold and cloudy, thanks to La Nina. Average highs for July and August are in the 80s.

My daughters and I were up there for five days and I had been sooo looking forward to the cooler weather...as compared to down here in AZ! Well....you coulda knocked me over with a feather when it was as hot as here! And we never heard the end of it about how WE took it up there! lol However, four hours away on the coast, it was foggy, windy and wet. Dropped 40 degrees down to the low 60s. Was glad I took my sweats. lol I spent two days on the coast and did all the 'touristy' things, and a lot of little 'nostalgia trips' so I did enjoy it.

When it comes to "whining" about the weather I bet the folks down here have you guys beat all to heck! lol It's a huge yearly debate here.
