I think the Smith campaign is full of people who love The Bus Project.

I hope they do not come to my door. I have already had campaigners for Smith and Hales himself visit me. As for signing up to register which I already am and have been as long as I have lived here, people have been sticking forms in my face everytime I go to the supermarket. But you know, I have always maintained, the right not to vote is a right too.

I am getting tired of people getting in my face. I remember when religion, sex and voting was nobody's business but the immediate participants. Guess I am just getting to be real curmudgeon in my old age.

I feel so sorry for the people in Portland that take their candidates and their right to vote seriously.
What a pitiful circus. Too bad the process can't just start over.

Basically what Portland has now is a one man mayoral race.
Charlie Hales might as well be running unopposed.

And if enough people get fed up, write in somebody elses name for mayor and split up the votes, Smith just might win.

Well, considering voter turnout in Multnomah County in the primary election earlier this year was barely 30 percent--a lot of people didn't care to begin with. And this is in a state with mail-in ballots...

Here are some options for write in votes:

Another write-in possibility for Portland mayor (Jack Bog's Blog)

https://sites.google.com/site/sethgrantformayor/news

Portland Tribune and Community Newspapers - Make a real difference: Write in Katy Smith

Letters: Columbus Day Storm and Portland mayoral candidates | OregonLive.com

Write-in votes for Mayor? - BlueOregon

It seems that nobody really cares for the two options we have now.

That's why I won't do a write-in vote.

It's kind of like the devil you know for the devil you don't.
