Thanks, Deezus!

Decisions, decisions! I have a plan that should be better than flipping coin.

I'll make a list of all the suggestions, and I'll choose the one that I can get the best room---view and location.

Somebody probably mentioned Tillamook, on the coast. You can take a tour of the cheese factory. We didn't do it, but will next time.
We're going to Bandon in a couple of weeks. It's nice. That's where you can ride horses on the beach.

Honestly, the Tillamook Cheese Factory tour is crap now days. It used to be OK, but now all you see are huge stainless steel vats. It can be kind of fun to watch them package the cheese, but these days you can't see much of the process.

Now... free samples of cheese and some of the best Ice Cream around are still a draw.

I think that it's the ice cream that I heard about!

The Umpqua Ice Cream trailer is the best attraction at the Josephine County Fair. But.....we seem to have gotten off track somehow.

Born and raised in Portland. Still enjoy the falls. Another vote for Astoria. Climb the Astoria Column! Love the view.

I still love 3 Capes Scenic Drive.

East from Multnomah falls to Hood River (get some lunch) drive up to Mount Hood. Visit the lodge and head back into Portland on 26. Very scenic, Pay attention to the Rhododendrons along the road (ok, I like them more than most people).

Speaking of the Mt. Hood area, when are the cherries in full swing?
