The Special Snowflakes are out to destroy the city and attack its citizens:

Quote:
protesters ... were also armed with clubs and sticks
Quote:
protesters began throwing "rocks, bottles, flares and unknown liquids" at officers who blocked them from walking onto local bridges
Quote:
Road flares and bottles were also thrown at police during the anti-Trump march
Quote:
Demonstrators first started marching down 6th Avenue and things immediately escalated when a car tried to drive past demonstrators. The car became surrounded, and demonstrators kicked, spat on, and cursed at the vehicle
Quote:
It did not take long for protesters to also block TriMet
Protesters destroy city

You want anarchy? Bring it. Those of us outside the city's confines have a gift for you. Come get it.

See, here we have to use our powers of discernment.

If they're dressed in all black, with hoodies, masks and carrying a large black flag with the letter A inside a circle on it then they're identified as Anarchists and not you're typical garden variety 'special snowflake' protesters aka concerned citizens/peaceful protesters.

Anarchists are there for destruction and the ones you have to watch out for that infiltrate these types of crowds to sew discord and well, anarchy. You'll want to stay away from them if you spot them. It's opportunistic vandalism and police confrontations for their group.

'Special snowflakes' aka 'just the regular folks' are more prone to stick to the herd and follow the police instructions to maintain their scheduled routes...unless they see something that needs justice or a witness and they begin recording. Everyone is a citizen journalist these days and it agitates law enforcement and sometimes other private citizens.

Ok -- it's my understanding that the organizers refused to file for a permit for the march or to designate a route. I think this probably played into it (the womens' march for tomorrow does have a permit and a designated route, by the way). It's really disappointing -- but expected -- that this turned out this way.

Funny when people believe the protesters are destroying the city when the guys in the suits are the ones actually doing the destroying. You concentrate on protesters causing a million dollars worth of damage, yes that should never happen. But did you fail to see what banks did to people when they foreclosed on homes? Did you see what happened when people lost their retirement to greedy corporations? Do you fail to see the corporate people that Trump is now placing in his cabinet?

Stop worrying about the small groups of protesters causing limited damage and start concentrating on the suits that are robbing the people of this country. Your focus is placed on the protesters by media, who owns the media? Rich men in suits.

Focus on the real problems in this country, focus on the real threats to this country, one of them just got elected and he is wearing a suit.

Going out and having public tantrums isn't doing anything but providing the "men in suits" with yet even more ammunition against your cause. Do us all a favor and get back on the porch.

That's what happens when you are irresponsible by borrowing far more than you can afford. Live within your means and you'll never lose your home.

That's ancient history and ancient thinking. Hillary Clinton and the DNC spent a $1.2 billion and took out tons and tons of "media" adds, more than double her opponent. She still lost. It's your focus that is misplaced.

The person who accurately identified the threats won the election. End of discussion.

They'll stay within the confines of the city. Their protected there. They know they'd be gunned down outside the city if they went around pulling their shenanigans in rural areas.

Yep, thankfully during the American Revolution people got off the porch. You feel free to do what you want, many people have fought for your freedom but we will continue to push forward. You are doing no favors by standing by watching but again your motives are obvious.

So when we bailed out the banks and the car industry what would you call that? Were they doing bad business? Were they being irresponsible? Furthermore the vast majority of bad mortgages were the cause of the housing crisis. Also why did the mortgage companies allow these unqualified people to borrow more money that they could afford...you need to think about what you are saying.

You now make threats towards people and you think you are some type of bad ass...please computer warrior go back to whatever hick things you do outside of Portland. You voted for a man that has no real plan but you will find that out soon enough.

Some of us are capable of holding more than one train of thought in our heads rather than simply focusing on "men is suits." And maybe you don't understand this, but it's possible to protest without vandalizing businesses, vehicles, and causing other damage.

You keep flattering yourself that you're some kind of freedom fighter, but that's a fail. You're just hot air. Do something real. Buy a building and give tenants decent rates. Start a business and pay decent wages. Crying about men in suits and defending anarchy doesn't help anything.
