There was no point in me staying in a state and city I was unhappy with, no city in Virginia was ever gonna be like Portland or Oregon no matter how much I wanted it to be, so it was much better for me to just move to where I would actually want to live than to stay in a state like Virginia.
I agree that it's better that you leave Virginia. Not everyone has the pedigree to live there. I also agree that Virginia will never be like Oregon, and that Richmond will never be like Portland. They are two completely different cities located thousands of miles away from each other. Similarly, Toronto will never be like Buenos Aires, though they are both awesome places to visit in their own rights.

The difference is Richmond isn't an awesome place to visit like Portland, Toronto, and Buenos Aires all are.

But I'm just going to focus on the good things. We agreed on one thing: you should stay away from Virginia, forever, and never return. Let's just be happy that we finally agreed on something for once.

And they too got the heck out of Virginia, which I don't blame them, I would have set out to find something better too if I were them.

Oregon at the time wasn't better, but I never took you for an historian.

You must have never taken in the view where you can see St Helens, Adams, and Hood on a clear day, the view is spectacular, and a reason why the area was settled. Much more beautiful than anywhere in Virginia.

Yes. Portland was settled because of the awesome views.
