Everywhere.

Actually more in the inner neighborhoods, but anywhere throughout much of inner Portland.

I don't know about heavily forested, but definitely tree-lined (with 50-100 year old trees): Grant Park, Irvington, parts of Alameda and Beaumont, Ladd's Addition, and Laurelhurst, for starters.

I'm not in Portland or even close but I live in an original Craftsman Home. It has been upgraded because of necessary city codes and such but the rooms and dimensions are very close to the original home that was built.

Those are all over Hawthorne too. I live in the Buckman neighborhood near Hawthorne Blvd. you can find them in my neighborhood. All the old neighborhoods in the NE and SE have them. Old tree lined streets too.

Depends on the specific area. Some are newer, some old, some midcentury. All are expensive.

Years ago, my brother owned a home on 40th and Lincoln.

It was a wonderful old home and I still have fond memories of it (he paid less than $20,000 for it, I think, back in the mid-70's).

Before that, he and a roommate rented another neat old home in Ladd's Addition.

I love old homes.
