Question Apt. Hunting
One more question:

I have been stalking good old craigslist for apartment listings to get an idea of what is out there. Is this the best option? I noticed many are run by management companies.

Is it easier to walk the neighborhoods looking for "for rent" signs in windows?
Go through a management company directly?

Any good recommendations? Resources?

do a google search for "portland rentals" or "portland apartments"
a lot of good sites come up. craigslist can be sketchy and not representative.
