I will be relocating to Hillsboro area ( TV highway and Cornelius Pass) to work at OHSU on the hill. From my research, there is a long waiting list to get an expensive parking permit. Does anyone know the quickest form of public transportation to get there or to the OHSU tram from Hillsboro?

I've had to make that trip just this week. South Waterfront Campus -- 3303 Bond Ave. That's where the Tram lifts off. Closest MAX stop to you is Quatama. It doesn't look walkable but would be a snap on a bike. My personal choice. Were it I it would be MAX Blue line to Library/9th St. in Portland. Walk around to 11th and Taylor and take the Streetcar right to the Tram station (Moody and Gibbs) and ride up. Tram should be free for OHSU personnel. There is a more direct route to the north campus involving a bus when you get off MAX. It is a miserable winding and slow journey on the bus IMO. I've ridden down the hill to the MAX on my bike, an exhilarating, winding and fast journey by bicycle, but very hard on either your brake pads or your nerves. One or the other will suffer. FWIW.

Take Max to goose hollow station and take the bus from there. It's a popular OHSU stop--people line up politely against the wall while they wait for the OHSU bus to arrive. It's bus number 66 I think?

It's a pretty fast ride from Goose Hollow--10 min or so.

Oldtintype is probably spot on with her advice. What can I say. Every so often I blow one. I blame the fact that I am from the far West suburbs and at the time I knew way less about Portland than now. Trips to medical centers are rarely taken in the best state of mind unless one is an employee. I only went to the north campus the one time, but I go to the Casey Eye Institute fairly often. In fact, I would recommend the o.p. take the Tram up the hill a time or three just for the ride. I love it. Don't know why the o.p. should trust me to know a good tourist attraction given my track record but there you are. FWIW.

Your suggestion is a cooler ride, but a much longer one

Bus 68, not 66.
