New cabinets in every room and fashionable and sturdy italian style wall beds with pull down tables in every room. This is a cool building in the thriving West End where it is all happening now! Why commute 3 hours round trip every day from hillsboro if you are working near downtown and downtown is far different than 15 years ago! Also the streetcar runs in front of the Arthur and the light rail is on either side of the building providing easy access to other neighborhoods and the airport. Freedom Center far from downtown and new, boring construction - that is if you like living in hospital-like new environment. Go with the renovated cool Arthur - that is what Portland is all about!
Do you have any financial interest in "The Arthur" 'cause you sure sound like you are selling something....

This building is listed as one of the top ten buildings for micro studios in the country, so I think he is probably on point. Anyway, I'm moving in soon, so I'll tell you if it's a hot mess because I have a tendency to be loud about stuff like that. But I think it looks great for a single person.

What is your rent, and does it include any utilities or internet? Just asking because the Arthur website doesn't include any layouts or prices. Thanks!

The micros go from 850 to 925, depending on what floor they are on, I think.
There is ultra high speed internet that you pay $39 a month for
and shared utilities that the manager says run between 60 and 80 a month.

I do not know what the regular studios are going for but the building has
a lot of renovation features like new plumbing that some of the other old
buildings will not have, so that's what I liked about it.
