I'm just curious what the market is like for Urban planning and land use in the Portland area? I'm graduating next year with my Bachelors, and since I'm already living in Oregon, I figured my best step forward would be moving to the Portland area to find work in my field.

The only problem is I'm not entirely sure where to begin to gauge the market for jobs. I check the job board for the Oregon Association of Planners, but other than that I'm not sure what other places there are to look. I know Portland is very well known for their urban planning, I just don't know if it's a flooded market or not, thus putting myself constantly searching for a job.

Thanks for any info you have!

Very competitive and very flooded. Portland already has PSU's Urban Planning School pumping out new grads each year and there are only so many urban planning jobs in the metro.
