Think $1600-$2000 for a newer 1 bedroom.

Yup, exactly that.

Plus you have to be able to handle the shift in weather. And the ocean is 2 hours away and you can't swim in, and even sunbathing is pretty hit or miss.

On the bright side, our air quality is far from pure, but it's still better than L.A.!

Also, you aren't really going to find many "lofts" in Portland....though I have also come to terms that most people don't know what the term "loft" means.

This is one of my favorite buildings in Portland that have been built in the past few years. It is on NE Couch, in the Lower Burnside area.
1BR/1BA Apartment - 111 NE 6th Ave
