It is subjective but there is a minimum.

I am more concerned about my own income and expenses, though I do support programs within the city that build affordable housing. And if it makes you feel any better, my hope is to one day start a development company with an old friend of mine which we would make sure a portion of the company went to developing affordable and low income housing.

Keep in mind many of those minimum wage jobs are also tip based jobs.

according to the Bureau of Labor --50 grand is restricted income in Portland
