Default Has anyone been to a meditation center??

Just thought about exploring some new peaceful approaches to slow life down some. Has anyone on these forums been to any of the meditation centers in the city or anywhere else in the area?

I enjoyed going to the ashram on Sandy and 33rd for yoga class. But they also have meditation sessions as well, and some people live there or used to. Have not been in several years so things may have changed. The other place is the Friends' Church on SE Stark and Burnside near Laurelhurst. Also the Dharma Center on SE Madison. Dharma Rain

I'd be interested in finding meditation centers on the west side as the traffic is just daunting. For the original post, the best list I've found yet is at Portland Buddhist Hub: Meditation, Pure Land, Ch'an, Zen, Tibetan, Theravadin, Mahayana, Buddhism, Dharma, Portland Oregon which has numerous centers mentioned but everything on there is east side, mainly southeast.
