well, down here along the southern coast, we're getting rain, couple short hail storms yesterday, but mostly rain. Although, right now, it is clear. Crisp and COLD but clear and beautiful.
My mom is in Portland, and she said a little snow, but they are expcting maybe some freezing rain later tonight.
My Stepdad is in Bend and they were at 8degrees this morning and snow.
for pics, check on the oregonlive.com page. They have a section where locals send in pics of their area. Shows some of Washington too.
Tiff

oooh..I hate freezing rain!!!!!!!
I had studs put on my van last week, just for that reason.
Last year we were Christmas shopping in Eugene when the freezing rain started. 45 min drive home was so fun!

There's a cool picture of Hawthorne street in Portland at the following web address: "www.orblogs.com/photo/1259/" It snowed in Eugene and Corvallis yesterday but they (my friends who live there) said that rarely happens in the fall/winter and when it snows it rarely sticks but it did stick yesterday. In Portland recently they had a lot of rain that washed out a road(s) but the locals say that doesn't happen that often. Google weather and type in various Oregon zip codes 97401, 97060 - there are several sites that provide photos of weather and satallite views. Also the college websites can give you cool photographs of their campuses during various seasons (at least I know U of O does).

According to people living there and the weather reports on the Internet, it is COLD and RAINY in the winter in Oregon. That's what keeps everything so green and beautiful during the other months.
