My wife and I are considering a move to either Portland or the Tacoma area in Washington. I have read countless threads on here about the lack of jobs in Portland. I work as an Electrician, does anyone know if jobs in this field are scarce. Any info appreciated.

If you come with a decent resume and appear to be a good worker, I'd say jobs are there for the taking. The jobs will be here so long as there is a California that people have so screwed up they leave to screw Oregon up further.

In other words, COME ON DOWN!
