I am coming to Portland for a week and would love to know, what are the best places for Pizza and Breakfast?

It all depends on what ya like. Most people on the westside of portland/pearl district go to Hot Lips or Escape from NY. Flying Pie pizza is huge on the eastside, But i will tell ya that Amalfis pizza, in my opinion is the BEST! Its in the NE area on Fremont st. As for breakfast you would love the Pancake house on Barbur blvd off I-5 on the westside. Its really good and always a wait though. Other than that...Pig and Pancake at Cannon Beach if you ever go.

We just came from Harvey's Comedy Club. Afterward, we went to Old Town Pizza which has been one of my favorites for thirty years. The ambience is fabulous. Also, I think Pizzicato has phenomenal pizza. So does Vista Spring.
Breakfast, no idea. Sorry!

Mother's Bistro is a must for breakfast. Other good places include Lorn and Dotties (basically a block from Mother's), Red Star Tavern, and Everett Street Bistro.

Mother's usually requires a reservation. If you want a Portland-esque breakfast, try Vivace Coffeehouse and Creperie on NW 23rd and Pettygrove. After breakfast, you can walk down NW 23rd and do some window shopping in the neat shops.

Foxy--I have been to Mother's many times and only once had wished we had a reservation. That was on a Saturday morning though, when any good place is busy. During the week we have always just walked right in.

There are great recommendations here: PORTLAND TIP SHEET AND DINING GUIDE
Pizza isn't my thing, but Apizza Scholls is who I've always heard was "the best."
I like the Cadillac Cafe or Lorn & Dottie's for breakfasts.
