Thanks.
I'm not sure that's the only explanation, but I'm sure that's part of it. I haven't done any sciencing about it, though.

Thanks for all the dialogue!

In my case, where I live had me indoors from late February to Late October last year for the hot parts of the day. I'm still good if it's windy and I can get some convection going(and get out of the sun), and cooler mornings and evenings are fine for getting out. Since I am most often working in the middle of the day, and my work is with computers, I seldom worry about getting out in the midday heat.

Short version: As long as it isn't 6+months of 80 plus, it's an improvement over where I live as of last year.

OP, if you live in Silicon Valley, why don't you move to Pacifica? Pacifica is very often overcast/foggy, especially in the summer. If you look here, the average monthly temperature is NEVER of 70, heck it is barely ever over 60. Moderator cut: Link removed, linking to competitor sites is not allowed

I think it is the perfect weather for you.

Pacifica is expensive now like everywhere in the Bay Area and not sure if the OP was renting or buying but Pacifica is no bargain. Funny that Half Moon Bay is spendy now as I remember friends of friends who rented a house with surfers in the late 80's right near downtown. It was cheap.
