MISSTRACY is on a distinguished road
Default I want to live in Portland and I am teacher

I am hoping to relocate to Portland this summer. I am a teacher, special education teacher. Where is the best place to live and teach at? I make $38,500 now as a 3rd year teacher. I will have my masters completed by August. So, I would like to make at least $43,000. what would be the best place fo rme to live and work. I heard teaching is better in Washington. Is this true, I am visiting Portand ina few weeks for spring break and would love some interviews.

Default Have you checked the websites?

Have you checked the Portland Public Schools website? It looks as though they are hiring special education teachers for applicant pool positions, meaning that you apply for a job in the district without applying for a specific location. It looks like they are hiring continually for these positions. You would need to start by filling out the online application. They also list starting salary and contract days online.
