HW does carry organic 28# or 5# quantity, but you have to have a wholesale license.
I would guess to expect to pay a little more if you buy theirs through another store.

Apricots, Turkish :: Hummingbird Wholesale

I didn't ask if Winco's are organic, but I'm sure they aren't, as it would have proudly stated so on its price card.

For those not desiring organic, their 28# case is $79.27 .

Wholesale license for Hummingbird? I don't think so. I've purchased there with no problems. That the only place I could find hulled pumpkin seeds grown in the USA. My family doesn't eat food from China, which is the usual source of hulled pumpkin seeds

Since there is no state sales tax Oregon doesn't even issue wholesale licenses. There is no such thing in Oregon.

Huh, that is so odd-I was just back at the Costco here YESTERDAY and still not one bag -in Portland, its just so odd to me.

I think I will be fine with the 1 lb for now, I am not sure how much I will actually be cooking with them in the next week anyway, guests in town and going out to eat a fair amount, or roasting traditional things, like beef/ turkey/ ham...

Update, not local, really but was looking online at Costco.com and they do show a 48oz bag of organic apricots for $15...

I think I will ask them at the store next time I am in there about that...

Oregon residents have a wonderful source of organic/whole/fresh/bulk foods within your border....Check out Azure Standard.

They may or may not have what you are looking for, but definitely worth a look.
