You see how you use that phrase "There's gotta be a story?" That's effeminate... It's like you're softening the blow of your question. You see the issues I cited in the other thread as being catty, etc? It's all Portland.

If, in just a few minutes of reading your posts, I pick up all these things, imagine what it's like for me in Portland... More than anything, I think Portland (and the West Coast) is an American humiliation... Men reducing themselves to the games adolescent girls play...

There's no big tragedy; just a number of experiences that made me take a step back in confusion.

Edit: Thinking about it, what alarmed me the most was the malicious way in which people took advantage of each other. In and around Detroit, you see a lot of dirty things happen. However, it's only the scum who do those sorts of things. Portland, it's everyone.

Every single day is like hanging out in Detroit in regard to the efforts to scam each other in one way or another. It's a real low-class culture.

No, it's effeminate to read into things that aren't there.

It's also effeminate to whine incessantly.

And let's here some stories, if you got 'em. 'Fraid to disclose for public evaluation? Sounds like it.

We're all free to have an opinion. To discontinue the thread hi-jack, I'll just summarize my "wisdom" for those moving to Portland as "don't go."

Wow...so that was an interesting tangent.
Thank you for your wisdom, but I have never even heard anything remotely matching your experiences in Portland. So I'll take it into account but I really don't think it's going to sway my decision.
