I guess I know property taxes are higher in Multnomah Co. than other places and the Arts Tax ($35/year) is a very minor thing (for me, anyway). Gas tax? - don't know. Other extras? - again, don't know.

Just don't think it can be accurately computed as there are so many variables. I'm just glad to live here!
Wow, I'm happy for you you're glad to pay an exorbitant tax rate for living in that rain hole! LOL. The Multnomah County tax rate is WAY higher than Washington County, like I cut my taxes in two by moving to Washington County when I lived in OR and the house wasn't much cheaper than the Portland house. The rate is enormously high in that horrible county.

As for the art tax, I didn't pay it the last year or two I was living in that county, no interest in that at all, it's a stupid tax, it is a violation of federal law against head taxes, no matter what they said, it doesn't change that fact. It's idiotic on every level and I left the county, didn't feel like paying it, now I left the state, definitely won't ever pay that. Good luck finding me! LOL.

PS: OP I was a registered libertarian as well. But I couldn't handle the extreme liberals anymore, or the rain. Best of luck to you in Portland! Hope you survive Antifa :P

I guess all the reasons stated above is why Portland has a current population of almost 650,000 people.

What a bunch of idiots, don't ya think?
