I came back from my month long trip back home to Oregon a couple of weeks ago. Here are a couple of pictures of Oregon Gardens and Silvercreek Falls (both in Silverton area), and one of Port Orford taken on my trip down the coast. Absolutely loved Brookings. I want to move back home.

Did you think I was done yet???
Belmont/Hawthorne Street shops (Portland proper)....where there's a cute cafe every 10 feet!
The greatest cupcakes ever
My favorite place for unique burritos at Laughing Planet Cafe
Note the skies are gorgeous as you look down the street...did that for all you who wanted to see Portland's lighter days...
Adorable toy store
Yes, that is a clear sky in Portland
The Cat's Meow
Another shop in this beautiful building
Saw this and had to share

Laurelhurt Park also in Portland Proper...three blocks from the condo I stayed in. Did I tell you Zupan's Market was a block away? Ya, I didn't drive all week, I just walked there!
But, if you do live in this area of Portland, I think it's required for a resident to either own a Prius or a Suburu Outback...forgot take pictures of that.
Laurelhurst Park
This tree was gi-normous!
Beautiful pond, unfortunetely, it is having a terrible toxic algae bloom. That's why it's so green.

Nice pictures! I see you enjoyed your trip too. LOL.
My pictures are more out in the countyr. I have pictures of fields. I love wide open spaces. I'll post more later.
Love the bungalows.

hey, this is for "spring photos". It's clearly summer. j/k, I'm actually starting to see some autumn color. It's kind of depressing to see how fast these cycles go. Oh well. Good coverage of the Hawthorne area, very close to where I live. Portland has a nifty housing stock, doesn't it? Good colors. You are correct that cloudy days are good for photos. Personally I think it's better looking in general. The sun just tends to suck the color outta everything when it's not filtered through some clouds.
