Personally I think it's better looking in general. The sun just tends to suck the color outta everything when it's not filtered through some clouds.

hehe, good point! But, since this is a photo thread sticky, I thought to keep all my photos centrally located for anyone to stop by our forum and get a feel for the area. I"ll probably add autumn and winter photos as I get them too. I think others should do the same.
Glad someone else agrees with me those cloudy days have their benefits. There is such a thing as too much sun out here in the desert. Yuck!
I'll actually be posting a few more from outside the city, but I had to go to bed last night...

You are welcome! I absolutely love that place. Even my 9 year old daughter asked to go back. We went 4 times! LOL. You are lucky to be able to experience that so often. In fact, Silverton is top of my list when I can ever move back just so I could have proximity to both the Gardens and the Silver Falls. I saw you got free yearly memebership if you volunteered a certain number of hours. Nice deal! You are very lucky.
I'll post more later. I have lots!!!!

Here are some of my personal favorites. Lovely country roads in front of my sister's house.

Thanks!
Oregon Gardens is in Silverton. It's beautiful.
I was in the area etween Canby and Molalla (Macksburg area specifically) and southeast of Molalla. Family is spread out bewteen Molalla, Canby, and now sister in SE Portland. I'm not a city person, so the country ones are my faves.
Waiting more pictures from you!

Forest Grove Farmland (for those who don't know,Forest Grove is a suburb furthest west against the Cascade Mountains) Sorry for some fuzziness
Raspberry fields on a farm my boyfriend lives on.
Christmas tree field on same farm
Wheat field on same farm
In Forest Grove, when the Portland gray comes to town, it looks more magical than depressing...
Forest Grove sunset
Pace of life...laying in a hammick facing the horse pastures
Two young female throughbreds in one of the two pastures on the farm
