Default From Madison WI to Portland

Hello all,

I'm a 26 year old guy who visited Portland last summer and now I'm going back in a month to live. Currently looking for a place and emailing my resume to potential employers.

I emailed a number of people on Craigslist who are looking for roommates, but haven't gotten hardly any responses back. I wonder if they just dismiss me because I'm out of state and they don't think I'm for real?

So I'm looking around the net at places in Portland that offer short term or month-to-month leases that are under $600/mo. So far I've found that Burnside Station and Satellite Apartments offer month to month within that price range. Read mixed reviews.

If someone can tell me a little more about these complexes or that know of any other Portland apartments that offer month-to-month for under $600 that would be awesome.

Rick

Hey there, I can't help you on Portland apartments except for reading a thread earlier about an out of state would be Portland renter who couldn't get replies and other posters said that they like to work with people in person.

Madison and Portland are two cities that I'm considering for relocation. Can you tell me why you chose Portland over Madison? Im 24 male

Default Complex in Portland

Hi- I currently live in Iowa and will be moving to Portland in less than a month. I just got a month-to-month deal from Spring Garden Apartments in SW Portland. The rent is $600/month. The manager is very nice.

Freezer 41 - My family lives in Madison and we are also seeking to relocate to Portland. I can't speak for Helio, but the 101" of snow this winter did it for us. We love Madison. It is a beautiful, friendly small city, but unless you grew up somewhere that received a lot of snow, November through March is a difficult time to live in Madison.
