Default What is the mot desirable area in Portland to rent an apartment?

I'm considering a move to Portland from Nevada. I'm 22 and looking for an area with lots of young people, 'bohemian' vibe, preferable on the west side of the river (I have a friend there who says it's better on the west side?)

If I was looking here http://portland.craigslist.org/apa/
which tab would I click on to find apartments in an area I'm describing?

You or your friend would have to define "better". I have not ever heard or seen "Bohemian" and "better" in the same sentence. Portland's bohemian is found mainly to the NE/SE border and possibly North. Hawthorne is a community commonly agreed to be "bohemian". It is to the East, NE or SE I can't remember. If you are looking on Craigslist and select the Portland tab you will be in the right area to see listings in all these communities. Where does your friend live? You could do worse than start there.
