Hello everyone!

I am moving from Corvallis to Beaverton, and am wondering what resources there might be out there to get help with loading and/or unloading the truck.

I know people usually use friends, but none of my able-bodied friends can help during the time I need to move.

For any of you who have been in a situation where you needed to find someone to help with the heavy stuff, what did you do? And if you ended up loading a truck by yourself, what tips or advice can you give?

Thanks in advance!

Use Craigslist and find some movers, there's tons. We self moved into Hillsboro from NYC by way of Troutdale and used a local outfit based in Portland but Hillsboro was no problem. I used friends on the NY end. I wasn't super impressed with the paid help on this end but they were nice guys and they didn't break anything. My better half has their number so if you still want it despite the tepid review PM me later when she is up. If it's a real move you need at least one other person that is as strong as you. Take your time, move slowly. Three trips with weight you can handle easily is better than one trip in which you are close to straining yourself.
