There's a photographer in the area who does very nice work. I know some folks who've used her and were very happy. Her pics always look so relaxed and gentle to me, not conventional "stiff" portrait type shots. Have no idea on her price, though, or availability. Might be worth checking into.

There is a great photographer in Woodburn, Or. Daniel's Photography, he did our wedding this past October and we got great pics. Obviously you aren't going to pay the Portland prices with him either. He also photographed both my sisters weddings.

I was married in 2004, so my information may be out of date but Michael Hacker did a TERRIFIC job on our wedding and we got a whole bound leather album of pictures, an engagement picture and two large prints for less than $2,000. He may have gone up, but you should check him out before you settle. Note that the pictures are actually as important as everyone says they are.
He has a website that you can access through Google.

Great Photographer Recommendation
My husband and I used Benjamin DiCaprio. I believe their packages start around $2000...at least they did last year. I know they are booked most of the year but the pictures were wonderful and we just got a thank you card in the mail for the holidays. I just checked their site again:

and it says they have a destination wedding package now as well.

I checked Angie's List, where ordinary people review services (like photography) with true write-ups. Here is what I found:

Other top reviewed:
EA Portrait Design
None others have more than 1 review. None of those mentioned in this thread have ever been reviewed on Angie's List. That really doesn't mean much, except this- I have learned (the hard way) that photographers come & go and sometimes one doesn't get the photos they ordered & paid for. |
