Can you tell me about Lake Oswego schools? (Portland, West Linn: chapel, school district)

I've lived in Portland, but it's been years and I didn't have children then. Now it's possible that we'll be making the move from MA back to the PNW. I know what I'm looking for in schools. To give you an idea, our small town here in MA is consistently one of the top 10 rated districts in the state. Parent involvement is huge, which means the money spent on students goes towards education, teachers' salaries, etc., while the aggressive fundraising provides the track and field, playgrounds, cool high tech gadgets, etc.

At one point (still possible) we were looking at moving to the Raleigh area and decided the Chapel Hill school district had what we wanted. I've been away from Oregon for a long time but I remember LO and West Linn having solid schools. For a lot of reasons, I think we'd prefer living in LO. Can anyone tell me about the schools? How's HS life? How are the elementary schools? What's good? What's bad?
