Default Vehicles to meet new people before moving to Downtown/Pearl

Hi-

May be moving to downtown/pearl district area and want to know the best vehicle by which to meet other 30-something professionals for getting together, hanging out.

Would hop on Match to look for friends but thought I'd ask the locals first!

Thanks

Default car hoods!

That was funny....maybe I will do that. Just throw my blonde hair and blue eyes INTO people so they have to connect with me somehow!!

Thanks for the tip :-) Better be a big car..I'm a tall chick!

I will check out that meet portland people site too. I've read that porlanders aren't very welcoming to the transplants, so I hope that's just rumor and crazy talk.

We will see :-)

I think what I did 30 years ago to meet people here still holds true today. Internet aside, cause it didn't exist then, joining special interest groups is a great way to meet people of like mind. Then it's easier to connect with the individuals in the group.

Start salsa dancing. That's what's worked for me. =)

No but seriously, meetup.com is good. Craigslist is good, too, but only if you're looking for friends of the same gender (in my experience).
