What kind of people live in Hillsboro?
Off the top of your head, discuss. First thought that comes into your mind. Compare and contrast with other burbs.

Last time I tried to make a distinction about Hillsboro I almost caused a riot.
In comparison to Beaverton, though, it's a lot less yuppy'ish, although there are hot pockets here 'n' there for the middle-to-upper-middle class. I've lived in Hillsboro for almost 19 years. We now have what I call "Original Hillsboro" and "New Hillsboro" (the 185th strip, Streets of Tanasbourne area, Cornelius Pass developments). Orenco falls inbetween.
Hillsboro's outskirts still have farming; Beaverton has none.
Beaverton is lavish with good Asian restaurants; Hillsboro is lavish with good Mexican rstaurants.
Beaverton has the worst traffic mess of any small city anywhere; Hillsboro's flows much better, and Original Hillsboro has a lot of one-way streets.

Even in the suburbs tho, it seems plentiful with good cultured food.
Beaverton may suck but if you dont drive Id think its best or take your car to the coast or something and only use it for that. Also it seems city minded people can live in parts of Beaverton despite its heavy lameness. I am not a fan of suburbs at all but Id pick there out of any since its on a max line.

Well, only HALF of Beaverton is near the Max line. I think most of Beaverton's population is actually in the south side (south of Farmington/Beaverton-Highway), and mass-transit is pretty limited out towards Scholls. Max serves Hillsboro a lot better.

Hillsboro must run to the side of Beaverton and not the north then like a side by side max direction.

It runs pretty parallel to Canyon Rd-TV Hwy, actually. There are a lot of multi-family dwellings along the Max-line, but in Beaverton I think most of the single-family homes are farther out south. No so in Hillsboro, because out south (River Road area) is still farmland.
That brand new Westside Commuter (WES) should be starting anyday. It connects from Beaverton to Wilsonville, but it's strictly for park 'n' ride.

I'm not really familiar at all with Hillsboro, though I have close family that live in Aloha who I visit relatively frequently. But I always hear Hillsboro referred to as "Hillsburrito," which just cracks me up. The PCers would probably not be happy for me repeating what I've heard Beaverton referred to as... Haha.

I have heard Hillsboro referred to as "Hillsburrito" too, but I think it's pretty diverse, just like any other place is. The people out here seem fairly average compared to any other city. I live in Beaverton now, but I think I like Hillsboro better. It has a cute downtown, easy access to the MAX, cute, older homes in the downtown area, and the libraries are great. It's a small city with a big city feel and easy access to Portland which attracks people from all sorts of backgrounds, professions, and interests. I have noticed some of the newer areas (Tanasbourne, Orenco Station) seem a tad uppity.
